Justice Street has been accepted to participate in Westfield’s Earning for Learning campaign, where we compete with other schools from around the Valley to earn donations from Westfield.

Shop and keep all your receipts from Westfield Topanga and The Village (including Costco) between October 1, 2016 and February 28, 2017.  Then submit your receipts (register or emailed) using one of these options.

Pride Drive – Support Our School

Dear Justice Families:

Justice Street Academy Charter School had a terrific 2013-2014 school year. Our students participated in a wide variety of programs, our school achieved California Distinguished School AND our new Charter status. We couldn’t have done it without the support and generosity from our families and community. Last year, Justice Street School PTA’s Pledge Drive and fundraisers brought in revenues of approximately $55,000.

This year our school still needs our support. The Jaguar Pride Drive is designed to help us continue all the educational programs and resources we did last year and will hopefully allow for new educational opportunities as well. The administration and staff understand how important these funds are to our school. So this year each teacher is helping to raise funds. If your child’s classroom reaches 100% of responses it will get a double recess and a homework pass for each student by MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10. There will also be student treats for those families who support the Pride Drive. The attached informational flyers have the details of what we are trying to achieve and how you can help us do that. Please take 5 minutes to read through what we are striving to accomplish this year.

Tickets Now On Sale for Our “Nacho Average Dinner Dance”!!

Shake your maracas and join us at our annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction. It’s “Nacho Average Dinner Dance” and will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Bell Canyon Community Center from 6:00 pm until midnight. Dinner prices start at only $40 per person and include:

  • Taco Bar
  • Dessert
  • No Host Bar
  • Dancing
  • DJ
  • Salsa Dancing (lessons included!)
  • Photo Booth (including a photograph to take home)
  • Silent Auction and Raffle

For only $55, you can have all of the above PLUS 10 drink tickets and 10 raffle tickets, for a savings of $15!

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

JSSPTA has several sponsorship opportunities available for the evening of the Dinner Dance:
  • JUSTICE SPONSOR – $10: Have a colorful Mexican cutout with your name on it to help decorate the dinner dance.
  • TEACHER/STAFF SPONSOR – $30: Pay for one current staff member or their spouse to attend the dance at no cost (does not include drink tickets). All sponsored dinners will be distributed to staff based on a random drawing that will be open to all current teachers, staff and administrators.
  • DINNER TABLE SPONSOR – $50: Your name or logo will be displayed on a dinner table centerpiece. Includes five (5) raffle tickets.
  • BAR SPONSOR – $75: Your name will be prominently displayed at the bar. Includes ten (10) raffle tickets.
  • POKER TABLE SPONSOR – $100: Your name will be prominently displayed at one of the poker tables. Includes five (5) drink tickets and ten (10) raffle tickets.

Cold Stone Creamery Spirit Night ~ Monday, April 16, 2012

Come support Justice Street School by coming to our Spirit Night at Cold Stone Creamery in West Hills. Come any time between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm and a portion of your purchase will be given back to JSSPTA to help support our many programs. Help Justice Street School through Westfield’s Earning for Learning Program

Justice Street School is participating in the Westfield EARNING FOR LEARNING program. Only 20 schools in the west San Fernando Valley have been chosen to participate. Justice Street School earns points for every person who signs up their email address, as well as for shopping receipts logged by our friends and family. Prizes include Westfield gift cards for our school that we can then use in our fundraising efforts.

There are several ways you can help.  First, click on this link and sign up for Westfield’s Shopping Partnership program. Sign up your email and we earn points.

Second: SHOP at Westfield Topanga, Westfield Promenade, or Crate and Barrel. Then go to the Concierge desk at the Westfield Topanga Mall and log your receipts. Justice Street School earns points for every dollar you spend. Plus we earn 1,000 points for every Westfield Gift Card y0u purchase!

Don’t have time to log your receipts? Then drop them in the pink box at the Justice Street School Parent Center and they will be logged for you. (Put your name and child’s room number on the receipts if you need them returned).

Kids Holiday Gift Shoppe Coming November 28 – December 2

Start saving up your money and take on extra chores! Your favorite shopping time is almost here! We’ll have lots of great gifts for all  your family and friends, including moms, grandmas, dads, grandpas, uncles, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and more!

The Kids Holiday Gift Shoppe will be open starting November 28, 2012 through December 2, 2012 in the Parent Center during recess, lunch and after school.

Monday, November 28th is our Preview Day. Each class will have an opportunity to walk through the gift shop so the students can see what’s available. They will bring home an item price list and budget envelope to help them plan their purchases. Parent volunteers will assist children in picking out items to purchase for the holidays. Please note, however, that PTA cannot be responsible for the items your child purchases, and some items may sell out.

We look forward to a fun and exciting shopping experience for all our students!

Silent Auction Preview – Fall Festival, Sunday, November 6, 2011

The 18th Annual Justice Street School Fall Festival Silent Auction has amazing items available for auction.

Here is a preview of just a few of the items we will have available. Be the highest bidder and they can be YOURS!

The auction will open at 11:00 am and will close in sections beginning approximately 2:00 pm. Announcements will be made prior to closing the auction, and we will do a countdown so that everyone will have a chance to bid on the items they want.

Come to the Parent Center on Thursday and Friday, November 3rd and 4th to preview the items in person!
