Voice Your Opinion on School Budget Cuts
Take a moment and visit Care2petitionsite at www.thepetitionsite.com/1/48-billion-cut-to-the-california regarding the $4.8 Billion cut to the California state's public schools. Sign the petition in support of Prop 98. Governor Schwarzenegger has proposed a suspension of the minimum school funding guarantee, Prop 98. Suspension would be equivalent of $4.8 billion in cuts to California public schools, K-12.

Summer Send-Offs and Grad Grams ~ On Sale June 6th - 13th
Next year's fifth grade is selling Summer Send-offs and Grad Grams beginning Friday, June 6th through Friday, June 13th. Grams will be delivered to the classrooms on Monday, June 14th. Grams cost 50 cents and are being sold in the Parent Center and Kinder Yard before and after school. They can also be ordered using the form that went home in the JAG. All order must be received by Tuesday, June 10th and all grams must be returned no later than Friday, June 13th in order to be delivered.
PTA Meeting ~ Tuesday, June 10th at 7:00 pm
It's time for the end of the year PTA meeting. Join us on Tuesday, June 10th. At 6:00 pm we'll be having a potluck dinner, followed by the PTA meeting at 7:00 pm and a magic show for the kids at 7:00 pm. Please bring something to share. JSS Library End-of-the-Year Book Donation Party
Celebrate student achievements this year by donating a new, hardcover book to the library! Each student who donates a book will be given a ticket to the End-of-the-Year Book Donation Party in June. All books that are donated will have a special book plate added to them to recognize the student's donation. Stop by the book fair to see all the wonderful titles you can choose from. 5th Grade Recycling
Don't forget to recycle to help the environment and the fifth grade! Friday mornings before the bell outside room 10. Remember to separate plastic and cans. No bottles please.
